Go WITH the flow – Traditional wisdom says to shave against the grain of the hair (ankle to knee). While that may give you a closer shave, it can also mean more irritation and nicks. Shave WITH the grain (knee to ankle) to protect your sensitive skin.
Moisture matters – Sensitive skin and dryness don’t mix. Wash your body before shaving to give your skin and hair follicles time to soften up. And after you’ve shaved, use lotion immediately to avoid that nasty dryness. Make sure to stick to an alcohol-free formula to minimise irritation.
Give your razor a new home - Be sure to dry your razor after use and store it out of the shower in a cool, dry place. If you keep it in the shower, the humidity can cause rust or bacteria build-up – which are both very bad news for sensitive skin.
